MAGEN is a search engine designed to detect threats that could lead to the exposure of your home address online. If a potential exposure is detected, MAGEN immediately sends a removal/opt-out request on your behalf. MAGEN routinely checks for these threats in order to keep information leading to your home address suppressed at all times.

Please be aware: MAGEN does not remove your information overnight. We set up a dedicated search crawler for your name and search for your information on your behalf. It's a continuous cycle of "search" and "remove/opt-out" until all potentially threatening personal information is removed. Also, there might be additional action required on your end or adding additional family members in order to achieve the best result for your name.

With MAGEN, you don’t have to waste your valuable time repeatedly searching the internet to ensure there is no harmful information or request opt-outs from ‘people search’ sites like Spokeo or Intelius. As an appreciation to law enforcement officials, we will even send the removal/opt-out requests for you, so you can focus on serving and protecting the public.

Our system which is separate from this website for security purposes will send out a required verification email. Please fill out the questionnaire truthfully and accurately so we can setup the crawler for your name and get the removal process started. You must complete this process in order to get the crawler started for your name. Please make sure to be thorough as incomplete or incorrect questionnaires will cause a delay and impact our crawler's performance.

MAGEN creates a dedicated search crawler that’s assigned to your name. Then, it starts searching and flagging for your exposed home address or any information that could lead to it. Flagged URLs (links) are reviewed by our team and we send removal/opt-out requests on your behalf.

There are 5 potential reasons for this.

1. Not crawled yet. It takes a lot of processing power to scan trillions of web pages which ccomes with a very high cost. So our crawler scans certain blocks of the internet at one time, rather than the whole block. We don’t know where the websites that hold your exposed information are within these blocks, so the crawler starts scanning at random. Eventually, it will get to them - it just takes time. Again, our system focuses on continuous "Search & Remove" - not a 1-time removal process.

2. Our removal/opt-out request wasn't honored by the website exposing your home address. This is purely out of our control. We will re-attempt removal/opt-out requests on your behalf as long as the website is exposing your home address. However, we cannot guarantee that they comply with the request.

3. Delay from our system. There is a delay from flagging a website, entering it into our database, reviewing the website/article/URL, and sending out the removal/opt-out request. We also don't know how long it will take for a website to remove your information as this is out of our control. We do ask you to pay close attention to our monitoring reports and pending verification emails as they will contain updates regarding the flagged information. You can also send removal/opt-out requests yourself if it extremely urgent and cannot wait for our system.

4. Website issues. Some people search sites are outdated and not monitored or maintained by the website owner. Some websites don't even include their contact information on the website which means we have no way of contacting them to send in the removal request. However, we do have a system put in place to overcome this issue (Please note that we cannot guarantee the result).

5. Search engine result pages haven't been updated. It takes time for search engines to update their search result pages and we cannot control this process.

MAGEN cannot accurately monitor phone numbers and common names (e.g. John Smith) belonging to people who live in a largely populated area or websites that show only partial identifiers like a home city.

Our software is also less accurate with common Hispanic and Asian names.

We also cannot promise results if you:

• Own a business
• Have a Sr/Jr/3rd name
• Live in CO, DE, FL, OH, MI, NC, NJ, NY or SC
• Use a different or middle as primary name

No, we only work to remove personally identifiable information (e.g. home address) from websites flagged by MAGEN.

We cannot remove your name from news articles, government documents, tax records, work-related websites, blogs, message boards, or social media postings. We can help you protect your privacy, not erase your online existence.

No, it is entirely up to you to enroll the recommended family member onto our program. However, we do recommend that you follow through with our recommendation if you want to achieve the best result for your name. Our goal is to deliver the best result and/or inform you of all exposed information and this is not a tactic to upsell on our end by any means. Each risk is verifiable by the members.

We have no way of knowing if the person is deceased, neighbor, former spouse or complete stranger - we are just trying to keep you in the loop and well informed. It's always better to know what's exposing you then finding it out accidentally.

You won’t be able to find any information MAGEN through online searches or review sites. We hide our company information on purpose and never openly advertise our program.

We believe adverting a service like this goes against what we are trying to accomplish. We want to be a responsible service provider and clearly demonstrate our values through our actions. We don't have any social media accounts, reviews, or promotions. We let our technology do all the advertising.

We are aware that there are similar privacy officer protection programs out there operated by current and former LEOs. We admire and respect their desire to help out law enforcement (just like us) and we have no intention to complete with them. We provide this service as an appreciation, not a main source of revenue for our company. Also, we are a technology company backed by search algorithms, so it wouldn't be fair to compare those other services against us.

Whether you have only 1 or 20 websites exposing your home address online, the threat is still present. Other programs perhaps make you difficult to find online, our program focuses on making you impossible to find online.

Yes, your information stays within our company. It’s not going overseas or get stored on some free online cloud service. We don’t use any free online services that can access your information. Your information is only accessed within our internal system, no outside access. As a safety fallback measure, we’ve also made things difficult to hack. We always stay ahead of the latest cyber security trends.

We have a small team of analysts who perform the opt-out requests. If things get really busy, even the engineers and founders help out as well. Lastly, we keep a physical back up of our data in an AES 256-bit XTS encrypted local drive protected by a 16 digit non-sequential, and non-repeating passcode.

This can be due to issues within our system or incomplete verification answers that can cause a delay. We always recommend that you check your spam/junk folder in case our emails get flagged as spam.
